Direct Admission in Class X and XII in CBSE School

CBSE usually discourages Direct Admission in Class X & XII. Admissions within the same city are cumbersome and fraught with the possibility of rejected applications by the Regional Office. Though the Parents who have been transferred are allowed to find schools in the new city.

This is what the Examination Bye-Laws says;

As the syllabus prescribed at Secondary level is of two years integrated course, no admission shall be taken in Class X directly. A student shall not be allowed to migrate from one “School” to another during the session after his name has been sent to the Board for the Secondary School(Class X) and Senior School Certificate(Class XII) Examinations. This condition may be waived only in special circumstances by the Chairman.

Conditions for Direct Admissions in Class X & XII
