As you will observe there are multiple ways with Teachers \/ Administrators in different ways can become Principal at a CBSE School. Kindly go through the requirements below to understand the qualification required &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Qualification for a PRINCIPAL of a CBSE School<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>For SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL<\/strong>\u00a0(Upto CLASS XII)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>A.<\/p>\n<p>(i) <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Masters Degree<\/span><\/strong> or Honours Degree<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foreign University recognised as equivalent to the Master\u2019s Degree of an Indian University by the U.P.S.C. (or)<\/li>\n<li>Honours Degree of such Indian Universities as may be recognized equivalent to the Master\u2019s Degree by the U.P.S.C.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(ii) A teaching Degree or a Diploma in Education or its equivalent &#8211; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>B.Ed<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>(iii) Experience as required <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">under anyone<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>of the following clauses:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\">a) \u00a0At least <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>3 years<\/strong><\/span> experience of administrative charge of a recognised College having Intermediate or higher classes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\">b) \u00a0At least <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">5 years<\/span><\/strong> experience of administrative charge of a recognised High School.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\">c) \u00a0At least <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">5 years<\/span><\/strong> experience of teaching in a recognised college or Higher Secondary School or an equivalent teaching experience in a Teachers Training Institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\">d) \u00a0At least <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">8 years<\/span><\/strong> teaching experience in a recognised High School.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\">e) At least <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">5 years experience<\/span><\/strong> including 3years educational administrative experience and 2 years teaching experience in a recognised High or Higher Secondary School or a Teachers Training Institute<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">OR<\/p>\n<p>B.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Bachelor of Engineering with 5 years teaching experience<\/strong><\/span> in a recognised College or Hr. Sec. School<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">OR<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 51\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>C.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Trained Graduate Heads of recognised High Schools<\/strong><\/span> who have attained the age of <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">45 years<\/span> <\/strong>and possess at least <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>15 years teaching experience<\/strong><\/span> of Secondary classes in a recognised High\/Higher Secondary School (including at least 5 years administrative experience as Head of a recognised High School.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">OR<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">D.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Persons possessing <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Masters Degree with at least 15 years teaching experience<\/strong><\/span> in a recognised Higher Secondary School and\/or a recognised college having attained the age of 45 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">OR<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">E.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Persons possessing <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Masters Degree in Education<\/span><\/strong> and having the requisite experience as provided for in anyone of the forgoing clauses A to D.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 51\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL (Upto CLASS X)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At least Master\u2019s Degree (or its equivalent) with a teaching degree or its equivalent with 5 years experience of teaching of High or Higher Secondary\/Intermediate classes.<\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>i) \u00a0At least Bachelor\u2019s Degree from a recognised University;<\/li>\n<li>ii) \u00a0B.Ed. from a recognised University\/Institute; and<\/li>\n<li>iii) \u00a08 years experience of teaching Secondary School classes (up to class X) or 12 years of teaching experience of Middle and Secondary classes of which minimum 5 years being experience of teaching the Secondary classes; or 5 years experience as Headmaster of Middle School or other equivalent administrative experience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[Contact_Form_Builder id=&#8221;2&#8243;]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There have been a lot of queries from a lot of promoters regarding the qualification of the Principal as mandated by CBSE, I have tried to take the guidelines from the CBSE Bye Laws and try making it in a format which is easier for everyone to read.
